A evening riverside walk and social event for Gateshead creative people.
Friday 20 May, 6-7pm
Book on via this link – Ambulation walk.
Led by artist Tim Shaw, we will be walking and exploring Gateshead’s Riverside Sculpture Trail using sound. Ambulation is a sound walk that uses field recording techniques and listening technologies to create a walking performance using environmental sound. This headphone-based sound walk adapts field recording equipment and DIY listening technologies to explore the sonic quality of different environments.
We will meet at Dunston Staithes at 6pm, ending at the High Level Bridge at approximately 7pm. Please wear walking boots and appropriate clothes for the weather. You must live or place your creative practice in Gateshead to attend.
This walk will be followed by a social event organised by North East Cultural Freelancers from 7-9pm. Location to be confirmed.
